This course aims to introduce you to fresh Thai ingredients and dishes. Belinda the course tutor on these sessions has trained in both the UK and in Thailand under the tutilage of some of the best Thai chefs. You will be introduced to a variety of popular thai dishes such as Pad thai, tom Yam, Green, red and yellow spiced Thai curries. We source genuine spices and ingredients from local shops and have a range of superb recipes which are easy to follow and reproduce. The sessions are aimed at those interested in food and ingredients.
We begin with an introduction to the spices and ingredients to be used. We then work together with demonstration and instruction to produce the basics for the meal. This will involve the preparation of spice pastes, marinades and vegetables required to cook the meal. You will then work in pairs or small groups to prepare a dish or two after which we come together as a group for a final demonstration and practical before sitting down to enjoy a feast of fragrances and flavours along with a glass of wine or an appropriate beverage.
We offer a few spaces on this course for a lunch guest to join the participant to enjoy the meal at the end of the course. £25 per guest. Please enquire as to availability and book this separately via the office at least ten days prior to the date of the course.
