September - December 2010 - 10% of takings including purchased gift vouchers for our cook and dine evenigns and Curry club saturdays is being donated to the Emergancy Relief Fund in aid of the Pakistan flood disaster. These sessions aim to introduce you to a variety of popular worldwide cuisines. We source genuine spices and ingredients from local shops and outlets and have a range of superb recipes.
The sessions begin with an introduction to the spices and ingredients to be used. We then work together with demonstration and instruction to produce the basics for the meal. This will involve the preparation of spice pastes, marinades and vegetables required to cook the meal. You will then work in pairs or small groups to prepare a dish or two after which we come together as a group for a final demonstration and practical before sitting down to enjoy a feast of fragrances and flavours along with a glass of wine or an appropriate beverage.
The classes are aimed at those interested in food. The skills required to cook the meal will be demonstrated and the tutor is on hand throughout the session to help and advise.
This course makes a fabulous gift voucher as well as an evening to enjoy together.
